Rivers Of Ice:
The Glaciers are the main attraction of El Calafate and, the best way to tour them, is through an excursion through the Los Glaciares National Park. East tour, half a day of navigation, starts at 8:30 hs. and ends at 2:00 p.m. The Boarding takes place in the Puerto de la Cruz of Punta Bandera, located 47 km. Of the Calafate, where the boats await the passengers to leave at 9:00 in the morning.
The route begins through the northern arm of Lake Argentino, until you reach the Canal Upsala. After almost two hours of navigation you can enjoy the first image of the Upsala Glacier, and then an approximation will be made to it. The itinerary continues the Spegazzini Channel, where you can see the Seco Glacier, and finally, you arrive in front of the Spegazzini Glacier, the highest in the National Park. Once you enjoyed these wonders of nature, the return to the port of departure is undertaken and from there, to El Calafate by land.
